Pregnancy Massage
Pregnancy massage is a gentle, nurturing treatment adapted to the stage of pregnancy you are at. It is used to ease muscle tension, reduce swelling and improve circulation, and to give you a genuine period of deep relaxation — supporting both the physical load and the emotional one.

Signs this is the treatment you want
- Muscle tension through the back, hips or shoulders as your body changes
- Swelling, particularly in the legs and feet
- Circulation that is not what it was
- Stress or emotional strain alongside the physical discomfort
- General pregnancy-related discomfort you have been told to just live with
- You want an hour that is genuinely restful
How is pregnancy massage adapted to each stage?
The needs of the first trimester, the third and everything between are different, and so are the safe and comfortable positions. The treatment is tailored to the stage you are at rather than delivered as one standard massage with adjustments made on the day.
Techniques are gentle throughout. The aim is effective relief without the firm work that suits a deep tissue session — comfort and safety set the ceiling, and the treatment is designed around that rather than despite it.
What does it actually help with?
The physical complaints first: muscle tension as posture and weight distribution change, swelling, and reduced circulation. Improving circulation is doing useful work here rather than just feeling pleasant.
The emotional side matters as much. Pregnancy carries real emotional strain, and a treatment designed for deep relaxation supports overall wellbeing in a way that is hard to get elsewhere during those months.
Is it safe?
The treatment is built around being safe and soothing — that is the design brief, not an afterthought. Techniques and positioning are chosen for the stage of pregnancy, supporting both mother and baby.
As with anything during pregnancy, tell us about any complications or concerns when you book, and speak to your midwife or GP if you are unsure whether massage is appropriate for your circumstances. We are happy to work alongside them.

Pregnancy Massage — your questions
What does pregnancy massage help with?
Muscle tension, swelling, poor circulation, stress and emotional strain, and general pregnancy-related discomfort. It is also simply used to support deep relaxation and prenatal wellbeing.
How far into pregnancy can I have it?
The treatment is tailored to each stage of pregnancy rather than limited to one. Tell us how far along you are when you book so the session is set up appropriately, and check with your midwife or GP first if you have any complications.
Is it different from a normal massage?
Yes. The techniques are gentler, the positioning is different, and the treatment is designed for the specific physical and emotional stresses of pregnancy rather than being a standard massage with modifications.
